The 1976 Hungarian 200 forint coin is composed of 0.640 silver, weighs 28 g and is 37 mm in diameter. 25,000 copies were issued in BU quality and 5,000 in Proof. The coin pays homage to the painter Pál Szinyei Merse, featuring a scene from one of his paintings on the reverse.
