The English East African 1 Pice coin, issued in 1898, has the following characteristics: it has a weight of 6.30 g, a diameter of 26 mm and a smooth edge. The circulation was 6,400,000 units. On the obverse, it shows the bust of Queen Victoria with the inscription “VICTORIA DEI GRA BRITT REGINA FID DEF IND IMP”.
